My name is Sally and I’m a writer and photographer
I’ve been writing since I was 10 years old. I owe it all to my English teacher at the time, who pushed and coaxed out all the creativity we had inside of us. There was no turning back. Writing for me has since become a way of life. A means of self-expression and a way to communicate my introverted self with the world. This age old companion of mine did take a backseat every now and then when life just got in the way but it never ever disappeared. I find that I always faithfully return to my pen and paper – now keyboard and screen, whenever the muse is in the room. Oh how I adore the muse! It just never ever leaves me alone. And for that I am ever grateful.

Along the way, I found myself drawn to photography
I’m a self-taught photographer. I started this journey in 2008, when I first bought a DSLR camera and attended my first photography workshop. Since then a new and exciting world opened up for me. It has been a journey of discovery of the art and science of producing a beautiful image. Mostly I have learnt to see the world in a different light. Through photography I found another avenue of expression. The elements of composition, lighting and angles are always at play to create a unique image but more recently, it’s evolved into themes.
Similar to my creative process with writing, an idea takes me by storm and the result is a series of images revolving around a theme. Combined with my love for writing, I aim to create a literary and visual experience through my work.
